Japanese Knotweed: A growing problem
Sightings of this invasive plant species are coming more and more familiar around Dublin, Meath and Louth over recent years.
Local authorities are erecting signage along roadway verges to warn against cutting down these plants, which can spread easily and cause structural damage to nearby buildings, roads and other structures.
RH Building Consultants have identified these plants in domestic gardens, vacant sites, riverbanks and roadside verges. If you suspect Japanese Knotweed in your property, contact a Chartered Building Surveyor as soon as possible to prevent the spread of the plant.
